6 COUNTRIES, 6 CHECKPOINTS, 6 PARTIES
ACROSS 9000KM IN 19 DAYS!
17 JUNE - 5 JULY 2018
The route is approximately, roughly, sort-of, in-the-region-of 9000km / 5600 miles, give or take 500km’ish. Crews will be traveling across 6 incredible countries: South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Malawi... If you end up in Angola, Tanzania or Kenya... you've probably gone too far!
THERE IS NO OFFICIAL ROUTE... BUT FUN CAN BE FOUND EVERYWHERE!
Expect total chaos and maximum fun! Imagine a crowd of adventure seekers of all ages, in a wide ranging, crazy assortment of vehicles, gallivanting, on a mixture of gravel, dirt and tarred roads on a mission to see and experience everything from coast-to-coast across Southern Africa.... deserts, mountain ranges, lakes, rivers, wild animals, awesome people, their cultures and way of life! This is what memories are made of!
THIS IS AN ADVENTURE!
NO PRIZE FOR 1ST PLACE. IT IS NOT A RACE.
The Put Foot Rally is all about not taking life too seriously, relying on your instinct, using a hammer to fix the unfixable and making roads where no wheels have travelled before. Most memorable journeys of this sort start with an exhaust pipe falling off after the first gravel road. It's not about who gets to a Checkpoint first... but who can see and experience the most in this whirlwind journey.
If you’re planning on bringing a Dakar Rally support crew, a tow truck, Chuck Norris and a petrol tanker etc... you’ve booked into the wrong event!
DISCLAIMER: We do not guarantee that you will make it to the finish line or your personal safety, but that is entirely what this is all about... an adventure that will leave you with enough stories to tell around the fire for years to come!
